How to Adopt A Rescue Basset

This lovely girl is Priscilla. We don’t know where she came from. She was picked up as a stray, and we reclaimed her from a shelter in SW Washington. Someone has clearly loved her – and we can’t understand why they did not come to find her at the shelter. But she’s off to a good home now where she will be loved forever! Like most of the dogs we have available for adoption, she’s housebroken, good natured, playful and ready to love!

How to adopt

On this page, you’ll find links to everything you need to adopt a dog from Cascadia Basset Hound Rescue. Basically, the process has five steps:

1. Get information about the dogs we have available.

2. Send us an email asking for our adoption application, fill it out and return it to us. Or call us at: 360-705-1233 and leave your mailing address so that we can mail you the forms.

3. Allow us to check references and/or visit your home.

4. Come and meet the dogs you are interested in.

5. Go home with a new and permanent family member!

Dogs Available

We list Basset Hounds available for adoption on Petfinder. Click on the “Dogs Available” title above, and a window will open that will show the dogs we currently have up for adoption. We try to put up pictures of all the dogs we have available. If you don’t see a picture, it’s because we haven’t connected the camera with the dog just yet. Keep checking back!
